This 7-day itinerary is a fast-paced and efficient “highlights reel” of Morocco’s most famous sights. It’s a classic one-way journey designed for travelers with limited time who want to experience the country’s incredible diversity. The tour begins in the modern coastal city of Casablanca and travels through the historic imperial cities of Rabat, Meknes, and Fes.
From there, it ventures across the stunning Atlas Mountains into the vast Sahara Desert for an unforgettable overnight experience. The final leg of the journey takes you through dramatic gorges and past ancient kasbahs, culminating in the vibrant city of Marrakech before your departure. This is a whirlwind adventure that packs an immense amount of culture, history, and natural beauty into a single week.
Today our driver and the Guide will meet you in the airport Mohamed V and drive you to your hotel in the center of Casablanca . If you arrive earlier in the day you will explore Casablanca, starting from Hassan II mosque the 7th biggest mosque out of Meka and the second biggest in Africa, also it is one of the mosques that can be visited by non muslims.Visiting the Mohamed V square, drop you off in your hotel.
After breakfast in your hotel we will drive to Rabat to explore the most important historical monuments of the city, Hassan tower and the Oudayaas Kasbah. Hassan tower’s construction began in 1195 and was commissioned by Ya’qub al-Mansur. Across from this great historical spot is the mausoleum of King Hassan the fifth, It contains the tombs of the Moroccan king Mohammed V and his two sons, late King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah.Afterward, you pay a visit to the Oudayas Kasbah, a walled neighborhood that dates back to the 12th century by the Almohads dynasty. The Kasbah is still inhabited now, and it is a unique place looking at the Atlantic ocean with fantastic blue and white walls. Afterwards we will continue our journey to Meknes where you will visit the Hri Souani, a historic monument in Meknes, Morocco. It was a massive structure that served as a granary or silo for the Imperial Kasbah built by Moulay Ismail during his reign from 1672 to 1727 and Bab Mansour. Later in the afternoon we will dive to Volubilis which is a Roman ruin also it used to be the Mauritanian capital,founded in the 3rd century. Afterwards we will continue to Fes for overnight stay.
Today you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Karaouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes
We will pick you up from your Riad in Fes then drive southwards to Merzouga by the Middle Atlas mountains, On the way we will stop at cedar forest to see the Barbarian Ape in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, noticing how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Errachidia. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz valley Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, You will take the camels to a luxury camp behind Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes. 20 km long and 5 km wide it is also reputed as the highest sand dunes in North Africa. It is a unique and diverse environment. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from the start point to the camp. The camp is well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner we gather round the fire and enjoy the desert night perhaps with traditional Berber drums.
After breakfast, we leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a major trading center in the region, with a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
After a stroll in Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble. Then we drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves, to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra river has carved out a grand canyon through the mountains -Making a high red cliff-sided canyon. These gorges are an ideal place for rock climbers. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades valley, through Boumalne Dades. Inevitably stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation. And on a spot atop a mountain overlooking the Dades valley. Finally, dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
After breakfast we travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna – called, “the way of the 1000s kasbahs”. We visit the city Ouarzazate and then explore local Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – the largest Kasbah in Morocco , a UNESCO heritage site. Then we will cross the high Atlas mountains till we reach the city of Marrakech for overnight stay .
Today you will be transferred to Casablanca airport which will take about 2 hours 30 minutes from Marrakech. Here is where our tour will end.
