10 Days Tour Casablanca – Merzouga – Marrakech

1st Day Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

Meet and greet at airport. Transfer from Casablanca to Rabat. In Rabat we will visit the impressive Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah des Oudayas. Late afternoon drive to Chefchaouen, The Blue City, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a Riad / Hotel.

2nd Day Chefchaouen Sightseeing

After breakfast, we explore the wonders of Chefchaouen, situated in the Rif Mountains. There is an artistic vibe in The Blue City, where there is a fusion of Moroccan blue washed walls and Andalusian red roof tops, reminiscent of the Spanish presence in the city. Artisan workshops about weaving and leather are held along the streets. After a relaxed lunch we will visit the local souk and Kasbah. Dinner and overnight stay in Riad / Hotel.

3rd Day Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast we depart for Fes, stopping along the way in Volubilis to see the Roman Ruins. After lunch we continue on to Meknes, a former imperial city. Meknes is also know as the Olive City. We will visit the Bab Mansour, Hari Souani and the old Medina, before travelling on to Fes for dinner and an overnight stay.

4th Day Explore Fes

Today, we explore the wonderful city of Fes; home to the famous traditional leather tanneries which we will visit, as well as the Medina, the Medersa: an Islamic university, the El Qaraouiyyin Mosque and the stunning Nejjarine Fountain. After your guided tour, you will have some free time to wander around Fes and discover its beautiful secrets. Fes is an imperial city – the oldest and most spiritual city in Morocco. Dinner and overnight stay.

5th Day Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

Depart after breakfast. Travelling through the Middle Atlas Mountains and making a stop in Azrou to see the endangered Barbary Macaque monkeys. Continuing on through Midelt, known for its apples and minerals. We drive through the Ziz Valley; an oasis full of beautiful date palms. Watching how the landscape transforms on the journey is incredible! We will stop along the way to admire the beautiful landscapes and take photographs. Finally arriving in Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert! Dinner and overnight stay in Riad / Hotel.

6th Day Merzouga Area – Camel Trek- Overnight in Traditional Desert Camp

Today after breakfast we set off in 4×4’s to explore the desert. We will visit the village of Khamlia where you will have the chance to meet the local Gnawa people and be treated to listening to their traditional music. After this we will visit nomad families living in the desert. We then visit Rissani, a fortified village and major trading post on the old caravan routes. You will explore the authentic souk. In the afternoon, we return to Merzouga, to go on a camel trek into the dunes. We stop to watch a warm African sunset before continuing the camel trek to a traditional Berber camp where you will enjoy dinner, desert drums and stargazing. This is what memories are made of! Overnight stay.

7th Day Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Wake up early to watch a spectacular Sahara sunrise over the dunes. Ride camels back to the hotel where you will shower and have breakfast. Depart for Rissani where you can visit the authentic souk and wonderfully colourful and aromatic spice market. Continue on towards Tinghir and then explore the incredible Todra Gorge, a naturally formed limestone canyon, carved out by the river. We may hike through the picturesque valley. After lunch, we head to the Dades Valley. Dinner and Overnight stay in Riad / Hotel.

08th Day Dades Gorge – Amridil Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Depart after breakfast, heading to Ouarzazate, along the route of 1000 Kasbahs. Stopping at Kalaat Mgouna; centre of the Valley of Roses. An opportunity to buy the wonderful rose water products, if you wish. Visit the film studio. Ouarzazate is also known as “Moroccan Hollywood” as so it is the backdrop of many famous films. Visit the famous UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, an impressive Kasbah built by on of the last Berber chieftains. After exploring the wonderful Ait Ben Haddou, continue on through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through Tizi nTichka, which is 2260m above sea level and the pass was built along the old caravan routes. Stopping to admire the beautiful panoramic views of the mountains. Finally arriving in Marrakech where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your Riad / Hotel.

9th Day Marrakech Sightseeing

Today, after breakfast, we explore “The Red City” – Marrakech. We will visit and explore most places of historical and cultural interest, like the Koutoubia Tower, Le Jardin Majorelle, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace. We will then discover the delights of Jemma el Fna Square, wandering the souk and enjoying seeing the authentic, hand made crafts of the artisans. You will enjoy a free afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at Riad / Hotel.

10th Day Lift to the Airport
